  While getting a new phone I was told there was no contractual term obligation. However what they don't tell you is that they calculate a 2 year rental cost and essentially finance the amount over a 2 year period. I did ask if I were to walk in a month later and cancel my service if I would have to pay anything extra. I was told no by the sales rep. Literal truth used to deceive is still a lie. So yes the sales rep lied to me. Stay far away from Sprint. Specifically stay away from this sprint store on University Ave. They are shady as f**k.
